Warren Grill, Founder and Chief Scientific Officer

Dr. Grill is leading ongoing development of DBI’s innovative temporal patterns of brain stimulation and is the lead inventor of the patents that DBI is exclusively licensing from Duke.  Dr. Grill is also co-founder and chief scientific officer of NDI Medical. He is the Addy Professor of Biomedical Engineering at Duke, with secondary appointments in Neurobiology and Surgery.

Dr. Grill has expertise in neural engineering, authoring 110 peer-reviewed publications and inventing over 20 awarded and pending patents in the field.  He is a consultant to the FDA’s Neurological Devices Panel, senior technical editor for Neurotech Business Report, and on the editorial boards of Brain Stimulation and the Journal of Neural Engineering. 

Dr. Grill received his B.S. from Boston University and M.S. and Ph.D. in Biomedical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
